The cause of the Indian brother: El águila robada (Stolen eagle) 2008
El ágila robada was published in 2008 and possibly composed at the same time as the previous album.
It was born from a feeling of injustice and a reconstruction of the history of Native Americans after some reading I did during those years. The truth is that, since I was a child, I have always sided with the true and legitimate inhabitants of those lands, with how they were treated, expelled, and marginalized on the reservations.
You could like a didactic guide.
Another interpretation of the music in a "wild" tone, with harsh pianos and frenetic strings and brass, as in Búfalo blanco or the mystical flute in Pipa de paz.
By that year, I was already out of my professional life. It was a strange situation that allowed me a lot of free time (sometimes too much). Became more involved in what I had wanted all my life: music and composition. The process of my early retirement was tense, both with the inspection and with a high-ranking official at the Provincial Education Delegation of Cádiz, who treated me in an arrogant and humiliating manner. My support throughout that tortuous process was a colleague from secondary school named Francisco Alba, who advised me on what Should do. As these memoirs are only tangential to my personal life, I won't give any further details. I will only point out the lack of camaraderie in the teaching staff of schools, which were insensitive and hierarchical. My time in that ungrateful world would be enough for another memoir.
The album's production was also successful thanks to Magix. The work didn't lose the momentum it needed. Distribution remained in the hands of CD Baby.
It was a year of transition, of which I have few memories, except for the firm intention to resume my piano studies and earn a degree in musicology. Like a fog, or perhaps the beginning of a less interesting life on a personal level
