The composer years (23)

Another review: Ecce Mater Deluxe (2021)

The agonizing loneliness and hermit life, combined with the resignation that couldn't be expected

from the support of my brother Pedro, led me to the city of Ávila. By now, there were definitely

no family ties.

I took advantage of that year to reissue the third block of Tripartito. It was essentially a technical treatment without overly altering the arrangements.

I didn't find much to do in Ávila when I arrived, even under the shadow of the pandemic.

When I told her about my musical interests, the landlady put me in touch with Ignacio, who

had some kind of association for former tunos (musical students). I'd always wished I'd participated in a tuna. In my university years, that wasn't the custom, even for those in my field. It's just the way things are.

We had a meeting, and for a Spanish speaker, Ignacio was an open, communicative person, a bit of a bossy leader, but an excellent person. Like everything I get involved in, I end up getting more involved than necessary. I noticed a certain suspicion among those who treated it as if they were going to play mus. To top it all off, I refused to get vaccinated against the damn plague and didn't want anyone to blame me for it, even though the risk was for me. I waved goodbye to the naughty dream.
